Your privacy is critical to us, and we have two fundamental principles:
How we secure our apps and the systems behind them, including vulnerability management and how we handle security incidents, is described in our Security Policy. We invest in security and aim to offer all our Atlassian solutions on the Forge app platform with the highest security badge, Runs on Atlassian.
Our role for each app depends on how it is built and hosted.
We store data on our infrastructure for only one of our apps:
Where we act as a processor, processing is carried out on the documented instructions of the customer under our Data Processing Agreement. Where we act as a controller, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide and support the solution and respond to your requests); our legitimate interests (to secure, maintain and improve our services, and to communicate with users); and, where required, your consent (for example, non-essential analytics and session-recording tools).
The analytics can be disabled in Jira manage apps. Our solutions set cookies if needed to operate.
For Runs on Atlassian apps, data stays within the Atlassian platform and no international transfer by us takes place. Easy Exporter exports are generated in memory in the EU, the US or Japan and are not stored. For our web and monday.com apps, data is stored within the EU/EEA (Ireland). Some of our sub-processors may process data outside the EU/EEA. In those cases we rely on the safeguards provided by those sub-processors, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework certification included in their own terms, so that transferred data receives an appropriate level of protection.
Our apps are designed to comply with the GDPR. Only the app below stores data externally, so it is the only one where retention applies; for that app data can be removed by you or on request by BOJA. For all other apps, data stays in your instance and is removed when you delete it there or uninstall the app.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. For Runs on Atlassian apps we hold no data, so please contact the administrator of the Atlassian instance where the data is stored. For Atlassian apps that are not Runs on Atlassian we act as processor and your data remains stored in your instance. For our other apps, our Data Processing Agreement sets out where we act as processor and where as controller. Where we act as a controller, you can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@bojaconsulting.com. Where we act as a processor, please contact the relevant customer (controller). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority; in Sweden this is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).
When you contact support by email, we may occasionally tell you about new features, ask for your feedback, offer support, or keep you up to date with our products. We may publish anonymised support requests in order to clarify or respond to your request and to help us support other users.
Although most changes are likely to be minor, we may update this Privacy Policy from time to time at our discretion. We encourage visitors to check this page for changes. Your continued use of this site after any change constitutes your acceptance of that change. Last updated 13 October 2026.
